Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge – 10th August 2013

In August 'Lets Do It Anyway' charity will be taking on the three highest Mountains in the Yorkshire Dales National Park, a famous & rewarding mountain Challenge & we would love you to join us. All funds raised will go towards the Norwich City Powerchair Football Club.

Norwich City Powerchair Football Club (NCPFC) is a football club especially for powered wheelchair users, of both genders and all ages, who meet for weekly training session at the City Academy, in Norwich. Challenge Kilimanjaro

7 Days on a Mountain

Standing at 19344 ft, that’s 5896 metres above sea level, Mount Kilimanjaro, the "Mountain of Greatness", is the tallest freestanding mountain in the world and is the highest peak in Africa.  Climbing Kilimanjaro is a demanding, challenging feat and is a magnet for trekkers and climbers the world over.

In February 2013 Lets Do It Anyway FundingTM will be taking a group of supporters to climb Kilimanjaro via the stunning Lemosho Route, and we have teamed up with Action Challenge, the international event organisers who have a wealth of experience of getting groups safely to the summit - Uhuru Peak at 5895m.  The Lemosho Route takes in some of the best features of the Kilimanjaro National Park and was chosen for the celebrity Comic Relief climb  in 2010.

The Lemosho Route has only recently opened up to trekkers wishing to tackle Kilimanjaro from the western Lemosho glades. Following in the footsteps of the celebrity Comic Relief trekkers the route starts in the pristine rainforest before crossing the vast Shira plateau, and merging into the Machame Route.
